Shapes And Fractions

WALT use shapes to make fractions.

I know I have learned this by making stripes of paper that will make shapes like octagons, triangle, square and hexagon. Also pentagon.  We had to do shapes then we place them and fold them, after that we write the equations. For the hexagon each side is 1/6, for the octagon each side is 1/8, for the pentagon each is 1/5 and for the triangle each side is 1/3. And for the square each side is 1/4. Tasting Yum & Yuck With Room 8

One rainy time, after lunch time Room 8 where going to taste yucky food and yummy food.
The first food we were about to taste was mineral acid. Mrs Dines poured some on a little
bowl, then she walked around the class room to let Room 8 children have a taste. Next she
let Room 5 children have a taste. I tasted it. It tasted sour, but then I said " it still tasted yum".
After a few whiles we were about to taste baking soda. So it stared. Mrs Dines gave it to me,
it tasted yum and bitter. " yuck" I said. And a few seconds later we were about to taste

Facebook Is Good!!!

I truly believe it is great to have a Facebook account.

Facebook is better than email because if anybody in our family needs help she can just comment to one of her friends or family. We can connect to each other if we are really sad and don’t know what to do. Kids will be wanting, kids will be unworried, kids will be ready. People under 13 will believe we should get one.

We should get Facebook in case something happens to one of your family in another country, they can just chat to one another. Kids will be happy to use it, kids will be great to use it, kids will be amazed to use it. Children needs to get one. They will never care.

We should get Facebook so we can play games on it if we are bored. We can get games or download the games we want. Children will play games, download games, make games. They will want to play until they last.

If we get Facebook we can help our family. Also we can see if something bad happens to someone in our family. Even we can play awesome games that we want to play. So I believe we should get Facebook!

Build A Factory!!!

WALT persuade to build a factory on our courts.

I know I have learned this by making three reasons why we should build a factory, and by making a conclusion. My digital object shows why we should build a astonishing factory.

These are my reasons and conclusion.

Building a factory is fantastic because we will get CCTV. We should let them build a factory because we will get CCTV.  Also it would be easier to find the criminal, because the  face will be in the camera. Even it will be easier to spot a fire and our Chromebooks will be safe.

We should build a factory so kids can design their own playground. We will be happy to design our own special playground. Kids will be happy, kids will be joyful, kids will be great. Children will believe they should design their own playground because we will be able to play on our new fantastic playground.

Building a factory is Marvelous because we will get free food. We will get to eat and experience their food. St. Patrick's children will be wanting to have their delicious food. After St. Patrick's children have eaten their food, they might even want to work in the factory when they grow up.

If we build a fantastic factory we will be amazed and excited to go on, and play on the new gleaming playground. We might even get delicious free food. Our school will be safe just because CCTV stays of 24/7.

Conensation

WALT write about how the water cycle works.

I learned that when the sun heats up the water on the plants or on trees, the water turns into steam.
Another word for steams is vapor.

Clouds

Condensation means water turns into liquid.Clouds are made of water or liquid. When the breeze gets cold the water turns into liquid. After the clouds get heavy it rains water coming down. Then the clouds changes into dark. And the clouds form. When that is done, that is called a Water Cycle.

I know I have learned this by making a thesis, then make three reasons, that will support your thesis.

We are learning about what food are healthy for your body.

I know I have learned this by making a food pyramid about what kind of food is healthy for you.

Fruits can be 2 to 4 servings a day, and vegetables and be 3 to 4 servings a wee. Also meat can be 

3 servings a day, and dairy products can be 2 to 3 servings a day. And bread, pasta and rice can be 6 to 11

My goal for Reading  is to sound out the words that I can’t read and to read clearly. This is important because if I read my story to the class, they wouldn't understand me properly. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be  reading lots of books at home and at school out loud to other people.

My goal for Maths is to get 100% in the basic facts test, before 2m 30sec. This is important because so I  can get to a higher math group. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be practicing on my math in golden time, at home and after school.

The First Winner Of X Factor New Zealand Is...

Jackie Thomas.

My family and I were watching x factor New Zealand 2013. They were about to chose the first winner of New Zeland x factor, it was out of Whenua or Jackie. We were all excited to know how will it be. Then the drum roll came, and so the winner was Jackie Thomas! I was really angry because I wanted Whenua to win. But at least both of them gets a prize, a huge prize. So that was thePublish Post winner of x factor New Zealand 2013.

Epic Sledding And Snow Ball Battle At Mt. Ruapehu

Once we arrived at snow, we ate first. We ate egg, chicken and drank some pepsi max. After that we went to the bus stop the takes us to the place we can sled and ski. When we got on the bus I Sat on one seater seat, near the door.

Next we were nearly to place that we can sled and ski, and once I step on the freezing snow I made a snow ball, and threw it to my brother. After that we took family photos.
Then we me and my brother rode on a machine seat the takes us to the place we can do. When we touch the ground we straightly rented a red big sled to start sledding.

I went on the short cliff first, after that the biigest longest bumpiest cliff ever, I ever in my life rode on. When I got to the end I saw Greshka and her family. They were filling up their pink sled with icy, white snow. But I rode again. We only had a little time left before the bus will come to pick us up. So we went to the machine seat but, there was a loooooong line.

So we had to go and walk the steep snow cliff. When we got to the top everybody was so tired and realy sweaty. And so went went back down. And that was the end of the snow trip.

Stinky Stay At Rotorua

Broom, broom. My family and I, and my friends went on a holiday at Rotorua. When we arrived at Rotorua it smelt like boiled egg. Once we got to our motet and went inside, it was freezing cold, I was shivering. So we turned on the heater. Then I looked at the clock it was already eleven o-clock. So we all went to bed because we were all going to Mt. Ruapehu, that is a snow mountain. So I went to sleep.

My Magnificent Emperor Angle Fish

WALT blend 2 colors together to make another color.

I learned that when you use chalk and paint dye on top, the dye stays on it. I also learned that when you paint dye over pastel it wont stay on, even learning how to blend dark to light. I know I have learned this by blending 2 colors together, light to dark. This picture shows the finishing touch.

The Unbelievable Tipy Tap!

WALT wash our hands but using less water.

Tipy tap is good for us because we wont waste water. We use 10 liters of water. People in Africa have to walk for miles to get water, so they can eat, drink, and to water plants. That means that they don't have water left over to wash their hands. We had to create a devise to help them wash their hands because so they don't spread germs.
A Tipy tap is a cheap creation and a creation that wont waste water. All you need is, 4 long pieces of wood with a pointy end, 2 nails, 1 carton and gravel. You also need 2 strings but strong, 1 long strong branch, and soap. Even tools to dig for the gravel to place in.

End Of Term 2 Poetry

This is the end of term 2,
 its the end of the term for you,
 this term will be gone,
but it will be still inside you.
We had learned many things,

 First we went to bubble vs. Then we made a brainstorm about our Mums. We had to make a list of things about our Mums. Next we showed Mrs Richardson our Brainstorm. After that we had to screenshot it on to our Mothers Day Doc.

 First Mrs Richardson showed us a video. The video was about sketching, light to dark. Then we got out our sketching book. Next we had to sketch five boxes. We had to sketch light to dark in each box, until we had a perfect masterpiece.

WALT write our top tip to write a good comment. First Mrs Grant told us to go to Google draw. Then we had to draw our Top Tip for typing a good quality comment. Next Mrs Grant and Mrs Richardson told us to start.

Smart Blog comments

We have been learning to write smart comments on other peoples blogs.A smart comment is positive , specific, and  thoughtful.

We are creating positive digital footprints when we leave smart comments. We are  Cyber Smart. Here is a screenshot of comment, I have left on blogs. My comment is smart comment because I wrote a greeting, included punctuation, vocabulary, and a question that is related to the picture I commented on.
