Be A Professional Like Me!



WALT write a procedure about Softball.

How To Practise Your Softball Passes?


What you need:
  • Softball
  • Large piece of land
  • Partner


Steps:


  1. Stand up with a ball facing your partner, then tell your partner to make a butterfly using their hands.


  1. Then you have to pass the ball by doing an underarm pass. If your partner catches the ball your partner has to pass it back to you.


  1. Then your partner has to move 2 steps backwards for a harder level.


  1. Then you have to do an underarm pass to your partner and if your partner catches it they have to pass back to you again.


  1. You repeat the throws until one of you drops it.


  1. After a certain distance, use overarm throws to pass the ball to each other.


  1. Once the ball drops, you and your partner have to sit down.


  1. Once everyone is out, the next round starts.

9. Keep practicing until you master the overarm and underarm pass.

Go To A Cool School!

St. Patrick's School is an institution educated for kids that from 5 to 14.

St. Patrick’s School students goes to school for a good education and to learn new skills and gain knowledge about the world around us.
Teachers help the students learn by teaching them all about different subjects such as  Religious education, maths and reading. The principal is the person who runs and leads the school. The staff are the people who help the students with the lunch orders, learning, attendance and preparing trips and special occasions.

There are lots of different events that happen in St. Patrick's School.
There is Athletics Day. This is when kids have fun and to get fit. Daffodil Day is a day when students donate money to the cancer society to help the people who have cancer. Mission Day is a day when students can help orphans, poor and the sick to help them have a better life and to get all their needs.

What are the facilities in schools?
St. Patrick’s School has a sick bay. The sick bay is where pupils go to when they are hurt or not feeling well. There is also an office. This is where teachers get together for a meeting or a cup of tea. A lunch room is where the kids can order lunch. There is also a library where the kids can borrow books to read and to learn more.

School is the best place to learn because you will make friends, learn new things and children can play awesome and fun sports. People use different digital things like Chromebooks and technology that people have never experienced.

A Chromebook is a laptop that runs on Chrome OS. A Chromebook can connect to any kind of internet.

What kind of things can you use a Chromebook for?
A Chromebook can be used for games, searching things up, and especially for your learning. You can download anything on your Chromebook. There are different kinds of apps on your Chromebook. If you have a Chromebook, you have to be careful of its screen because they are not that strong.

Do you know all the details of a Chromebook?
A Chromebook can have a small screen or a big screen. There is also an earphone or headphone hole for you to plug to into. A Chromebook has different kinds of details on the keyboard. If you are on a Chromebook you can be slow or fast when you do your work. A Chromebook has a camera on the top of the screen. There is also a sensor pad for you to manoeuvre the cursor.

Chromebooks have different brands like Acer, Samsung, Toshiba, HP and other different kinds of brands. There are also Chromebooks that can convert into a Tablet. Every Chromebook has an application to guide you when you first start using one.


The good thing about a Chromebook is that it is small so that it is portable for you to take everywhere. Also it is a good kind of Laptop because it’s got apps that you need.

Read These Descriptions And Learn More About Different Cultures!

WALT celebrate diversity at St. Patrick's School.
I know this when I write 3 sentences about each culture group that performed at St. Patrick's School cultural festival.
Descriptions of  2014 St. Patrick’s School’s cultural festival groups:

Maori- Some of the year 7 and 8’s wore Piupius. Piupius are traditional skirts that Maori people wear. The girls had pois.

Rarotonga- The Tongan kids wore kofus. They placed oil on their bodies to make them shiny so when people give them money, they will stick to them.

Samoa- The Samoan group wore lava lavas because they are the traditional clothing in Samoa.

European Fusion- The girls put lipsticks and make up on themselves. They wore red shirts and  skirts to look like real Europeans.

American Pop- We wore all black from head to toe so the glow in the dark sticks will glow. Our music was ‘Happy’ and ‘Celebrate’ because those are the songs that are popular in America.
