The Big Chase!

About a month ago I was walking back to my house from the Panmure Library at 4:45pm.
Then when I got to my street I heard a bark and when I looked back I saw a big brown pit bull. It was probably the size of a “34” inch TV.

I sprinted as fast as I could around cars, behind trees and on the road.  Fortunately for me,  the owner heard the dog barking and recognised that something was not right and came out of the house and called the pit bull in. The relief I felt at that moment when I realised that it was not longer heading for me, was unbelievable!  Not surprisingly the speed that I was moving  slowed and I started to walk again.  My mind and body were not over the shock,  I was in colossal shock, my heart was pounding like a V6 engine.

When I got home I told my mum and dad about it. I have heard reports about people, mostly children, some even younger that me, being attacked by this type of dog and after this experience, I think  that every pit bull in the world must be professionally trained because they can be very vicious animals.

Chunuk Bair And The War!

WALHT write a summery by taking key notes of what I have read.

On 1915 soldiers from Australia and New Zealand rode on ships to land on ANZAC cove. There were over three hundred thousand men. They climbed up the high hills and mountain peaks , hundreds of men died with critical injuries and some was shot dead. There were dead corps everywhere and blood everywhere.

The day after they woke up at dawn between 4 to 5 am in the morning they climbed up the peaks again. What they did not know was that the Turkish soldiers were standing by getting ready to fire.
When the ANZAC soldiers got to the top they were even soldiers, seconds later gunfire exploded  everywhere and grenades whistled in the night air. . Everyone fell like rain.

In  the end no one knew what happened, but they knew that they had won the fierce battle. Over one hundred and fifty thousand ANZAC men died as a result of WW1.

This year remember all those who died and also that It has been 100 years since that war.
LEST WE FORGET!

The Obnoxious Bandit And The Willow Tree

There once was a bandit who liked to steal people’s valuables. The most valuable thing he had stolen was a 24 karat diamond necklace.
One dark midnight, the bandit set off into the dark, whistling woods. Each step made him more scared.  This anxiety was made worse by the dry crackling of leaves he stepped on resulting in a ‘CRUNCH’ that echoed in the dead of night.
Later he caught sight of a glint of bright yellow light. At first he thought that it was a fallen star, then he thought it was an angel, but NO!  It drew him closer ...Like a magnet he felt the pull and walked closer and closer and….. HAAAAAAAAA! Before him stood a golden shimmering  willow tree, It was the Willow Tree Of Mean.
This tree had power that lead to every bad person that passed by, getting caught. At that point, out of the blue, he heard a voice.

“ You have been bad, now it’s our turn to have vengeance “.  So the willow tree transformed him into a willow tree. No one saw! Embedded into the trunk of that Golden Willow is the face of that bandit, who was never seen again!
