Lets Remember The Souls Of The Soldiers

We are learning to summarise a story and change it into an article.

April 25th 1915 became a memorial day to remember the people who fought and died for New Zealand. At the memorial services, the ‘Last Post’ is played by someone on a cornet, (a type of trumpet).

The first of these services begins at dawn. This is a quiet time as the sun rises. People, including old soldiers and the families of those who died in war listen and remember all the soldiers and the innocent people that have died. Every year people march in a dawn parade to a memorial hall where they place poppies on the Cenotaph. (A memorial Statue/Empty Tomb)

Following this people often gather together for breakfast, giving opportunity for old soldiers to share their memories.
