WALT celebrate diversity at St. Patrick's School.
I know this when I write 3 sentences about each culture group that performed at St. Patrick's School cultural festival.
Descriptions of 2014 St. Patrick’s School’s cultural festival groups:
Maori- Some of the year 7 and 8’s wore Piupius. Piupius are traditional skirts that Maori people wear. The girls had pois.
Rarotonga- The Tongan kids wore kofus. They placed oil on their bodies to make them shiny so when people give them money, they will stick to them.
Samoa- The Samoan group wore lava lavas because they are the traditional clothing in Samoa.
European Fusion- The girls put lipsticks and make up on themselves. They wore red shirts and skirts to look like real Europeans.
American Pop- We wore all black from head to toe so the glow in the dark sticks will glow. Our music was ‘Happy’ and ‘Celebrate’ because those are the songs that are popular in America.
