Adopting A Pet!

WALHT-use ethos, pathos and logos to persuade my audience.
Persuasive strategy
Yes / No
How the author used it?
Claim – States the main
point or stance
Yes
The text has informed me about what can people do to give a second chance to rescued animals.
Big Names –  Mentions experts and
important people to support the argument
No

Logos – Uses logic, numbers, or
facts to support the argument
Yes
It says that adopting a pet is a good thing for the everyone because people have helped animals to start again. This would affect your friends because they will think you did the right thing.
Pathos – Appeals to the audience’s emotions
Yes
The author has written about cats and dogs being abandoned and left them. This could kill the animals and that would be the end of their life. This will affect people because they will think that “What kind of a person would do that?”
Ethos – Tries to build trust and
credibility
Yes
Adopting a pet will probably be that best thing that you will do ever in your life. Doing this shows your kindness and credibility.
Kairos – Builds a sense of urgency
for the cause
Yes
If people keep abandoning or abusing animals or pets this and greatly lower the population of house animals. We can help to stop this by helping and animals who are in danger and giving them to the vet.
Research – Uses studies and
information to make the
argument seem more convincing;
this can be in the form of words,
graphs, tables, or illustrations

The author has his/her opinion but no research to backup this text.
